Institutional, Yet Entrepreneurial
Founded in 2000 by Lawrence A. Kestin, Glenmont Capital Management, LLC is a New York-based real estate private equity investor focused on real estate investments in growth markets throughout the United States. Glenmont manages a series of closed-end, institutionally backed investment funds, as well as direct investment vehicles, seeking both value-add and opportunistic investments including distressed and underperforming real estate requiring repositioning, select development opportunities and non-performing loans.
In today’s markets, Glenmont is focusing primarily on residential real estate opportunities, including market rate multifamily, assisted living/memory care, and student housing, which Glenmont believes provide compelling opportunities for consistent performance with downside protection for sophisticated investors. Glenmont invests in markets with outstanding economic and demographic growth underscored by regions of government support for business, local amenities and strong educational systems which offer best long-term prospects. Glenmont provides hands on asset management to reposition its investments to best-in-class stabilized income producing real estate assets, taking advantage of monetization opportunities from the growing institutional and public demand for these investments.
The vertically integrated nature of Glenmont’s investment team, whose backgrounds include private equity, transactional law, asset management, commercial banking, and accounting, provides Glenmont with a unique competitive advantage in sourcing, underwriting, acquiring and repositioning real estate assets across all property types.
